It now comes with high accuracy sensor capable of measuring as low as 0.1g to maximum 2000g.  It also boast a fast reaction speed for more accurate pour over preparation.  The Smart Scale III™ has the same water repellent nano-coating as the original. It comes with a silicone pad to protect the platform from hot servers. It automatically tares, automatically times, and automatically shuts off depending upon which of the five available modes has been selected by the user. User Modes:

Mode 1: Pour Over mode - Manual- User tares & starts timer manually. 

Mode 2: Espresso mode - Auto-tare with manual-timer start.

Mode 3: Espresso mode - Auto-tare and auto-timer with timer starting when liquid hits cup.

Mode 4: Espresso mode - Auto-tare only, timer is not active. 

Mode 5: Espresso mode - Auto-tare and auto-timer with immediate timer start.
